  • Serves as the designated water supply engine for the company. This engine regularly responds with the Morris County and Northern Mutual Aid Association Tender Task forces and is first due for tender taskforce requests, mutual aid assignments, water/hose requests, and west side residential & commercial alarms/fires. It is second out for any east side commercial alarms, vehicle fire, brush fires, or manpower request.

  • Originally served the Medford NY Fire Department and was purchased by Mendham Twp in September of 2018.

  • This piece runs first due to all commercial fire alarms and structure fires, Motor Vehicle Accidents/Fires, most automatic daytime aid calls to Mendham Borough, and Chief’s request. This engine runs second out to residential alarms. It also splits the second out duties with engine 4 to any inaccessible or specialty incidents.

  • Considered to be the workhorse of the station due to the numerous times it runs first due, this engine will respond first to east side residential alarms, CO Alarms, Gas Emergencies, Wire Fires, Brush Fires, and Assistance Calls township-wide. It runs second out to ice rescues, inaccessible incidents, and chief’s request. This truck was designed to get up narrow driveways or reach places that the other engines cannot get reach chich is very important due to varying topography throughout the township.

  • Primarily functioning as a general utility vehicle, this truck is used for equipment and manpower transport. In addition, this unit functions as the primary response vehicle for both our Ice Rescue and HazMat Decontamination Teams. it runs first out to any ice rescue, hazmat incident, or inaccessible incident. It runs second out for all CO, Wires, Gas, and motor vehicle accident calls. Otherwise, it is usually the last truck out of the firehouse for all other responses, unless it is specially requested by the Chief or another officer.

 

 

1935 Mack TYPE 60 BX

  • 24 foot wooden ladder

  • Known as the Pride of Brookside, this truck has been the symbol of the fire company for over 55 years. It originally served the Glen Ridge Fire Department from April of 1935 to the end of 1967 and was acquired by the fire company in 1968. This truck makes many appearances and is a fan favorite at local parades each year. Furthermore, the truck is also utilized for funerals, weddings, birthday parties, and other special details throughout the year.
